EP79 – “Building Wealth with Freeman Capital”

Wealth is the abundance of valuable financial assets or physical possessions which can be converted into a form that can be used for transactions. In today’s society, if you possess a substantial net worth you are considered wealthy. Net worth is defined as the current value of one’s assets. So what does it take to be wealthy or have a substantial net worth? Why does the African American community struggle more than other communities? According to The Road to Zero Wealth report published by Prosperity Now and the Institute for Policy Studies, the median wealth of black Americans will fall to zero by 2053 if current trends continue. Did they say ZERO?!?! This is a shock and very concerning as many African Americans have worked hard to make a living, but have nothing to show for it. That’s because it was never taught within many households or that if we work together we are 10x stronger.

Well, on this episode, Ralph and Touly jump into the Trenches with CEO/Founder of Freeman Capital, Calvin Williams Jr. and a Member of Freeman Capitals Leadership committee, Malcolm Ethridge. Both discuss finances and how it has played a roll in their marriages. Calvin also explains why he created Freeman Capital and what he wants to accomplish for the black community.
